High-Risk Care

Each Pregnancy is Different

Our physicians are qualified in managing high-risk pregnancies. Being high-risk can vary greatly, and each high-risk pregnancy will require unique individual management. Our physicians partner with several maternal-fetal medicine physicians in the area and will ask for consults with them as needed. Our facilities are equipped to do routine high-risk monitoring including ultrasounds and non-stress tests.

Some of the high-risk conditions we treat include:

  • Multiple gestations (twins, triplets, quads)
  • Hypertension
  • Preeclampsia
  • Diabetes
  • Pre-term labor
  • Premature rupture of membranes
  • Genetic abnormalities
  • Prior cesarean sections

Genetic Testing

During your pregnancy, you will have the option to test for the potential of genetic diseases. If you are interested in any of these optional tests, please discuss with your physician at your appointment to better assess your needs. Our physicians have relationships with outstanding specialists should you require more advanced testing.

GENETIC TESTING CAN INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Cystic Fibrosis screening
  • CVS (Chorionic Villus Sampling)
  • Early screen/nuchal translucency
  • AFP-4 (Quad Screening)
  • Amniocentesis
  • Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing/Cell Free Fetal DNA
  • Other genetic carrier testing including, but not limited to, sickle cell, Tay-Sachs, fragile X, SMA

Physical Therapy

Caring for you during pregnancy and beyond

Often times, pregnancy can cause musculoskeletal discomforts requiring physical therapy management. Women have the opportunity to schedule an appointment at two of our locations with our certified physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic health of women throughout all stages of life, including pregnancy.
